Counselling

Do you ever feel unheard? Like no-one is listening to what you are saying? Do you feel like you would benefit from time dedicated to you, and only you, to talk through things that are going on in your life, to gain deeper understanding of things that have happened, and to learn tools for dealing with the future?

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a talk therapy that allows people a safe, confidential space to talk about their feelings, or any issues they may be facing that they are having difficulties with.  It could be troubling life events such as bereavement, stress at work, problems with relationships or behaviours that are causing issues such as addiction or eating disorders.

What do Counsellors do?

Often all people need is a space to talk and not feel judged or guilty for laying their burdens on another.  Counselling offers a non-judgemental space for people to be honest with themselves and another person. This alone can be a very healing and cathartic experience for many. Counsellors understand that change can be difficult and scary, but with the aid of a supportive and caring counsellor, people can make many positive changes to improve their quality of life.
